It is important indeed to carry out some primary research in order to get some precise information about your target market and on your project.

Independent quantitative market research will give you the figures that investors/business angels are looking for before investing.

More research you will do, easier would be to develop our business

Fantastic article!

This article is a great resource to anyone considering buying a franchise as it explains the benefits of still writing a business plan, even though they are buying a franchise. It sets out clear pointers when creating a business plan and what should be considered by the franchisee. The importance of the business plan will still help in many ways, as there are many different parts to a business plan that will assist the franchisee if thought about in advance.

It can also provide the franchisee with a form of structure before and after setting up the franchise, in terms of as asking the right questions to the franchisor and making sure they have what they need in order to start-up successfully.

I would recommend any new franchisee to read this article before buying a franchise, as the creation of a business plan will be invaluable to the franchisee’s success.

Great article!

This article really highlights the very important points when considering buying a franchise. I would completely agree with all of the points mentioned and find it crazy that some people don’t actually don’t use this type of approach when spending their money, before they really know what they are buying into.

I think the other major factor when considering a franchise is that you have to choose one that you have a passion or interest in. Otherwise there will be no motivation for running the franchise which can be damaging.

I would defiantly recommend reading this article and use the points mentioned as a guide to buying a franchise. There is also one other website which I found to be useful, as it not only provides advice but also advertises a variety of franchises available to buy. The website is, FranchiseSales.co.uk

please i need help, & i think you are just the people to steer me in the right direction. before i start, i have no money, but a lot of gall. to start i work in a laundrett & have done for some ten years, the owner has become quite ill with heart problems & has asked me to rent the shop off him for £10,000 pa plus obviously water, gas , electric,wages & so im sure youve heard all this before , there are five of us working there & all of us have some disability, ie. i have multiple sclorocis, (thats the sad bit over) we realy want to do this but are not sure where to start, we want to do a pick up & delivery service together with ourlocal dry cleaners. we will open from 7am-9pm 7 days a week we have redecorated the shop & right thru to the rear of the building .i have also done a lot of research of the local area i have taught myself the internet & printing but now i have run out of money ,( i am a very proud 58 year old ) thats the short version of some plans for our shop .we would love some free samples of how to do a business plan also who to grovel to for funding. thanking you with hope katie & girls
